If you normally write non-fiction, post a photo. If you normally post images, write fiction. If you normally write fiction, write a poem. If you normally write poetry, draw a picture.

Life was mine again today

Its kiss still wets my cheek

And through its airy climes I soared

Past its myths and forgotten lore,

Where spirits wander. And wander free.

I heard it sigh, past the row

Out where the children play

The youth are fair and stand alone

Left forgotten, in streets unknown,

Waiting for one–one to pass their way.

Somewhere beyond, past the sky

In heaven’s blue expanse

Calls a muse to her dear beloved

To sail to her, in heights above,

Where all take pause.  And all take their chance.

The breeze: light in morning’s dew

It fell and whispered low

And all my thoughts, I slowly read

Though some were better left unsaid,

For they–too dear.  Too dear, yes I know.

Now, as day ends in setting sun

And the path is traveled worn

I lie down to awaiting dreams

Long past the span of earthly schemes

Carried on wings; on angels wings–borne.

While all around me keeps awake,

Praying for all lost souls–

Ruined debris of humanity,

East of paradise for eternity

Praying to god: a god it never knows.
