My name is Timothy. I became a Christian when I was seventeen years old. A few weeks later I surrendered to a call of God on my life, though I did not really know what that was going to be. I started preaching at that time and have continued to do so through the years. Like most, I have had my ups and downs in my Christian walk. In college I received a BA degree with a double major in History and Religion. I then attained an MDiv degree. After receiving my graduate degree, I continued my studies and received a ThM in Biblical Studies focusing in Old Testament and Hebrew.
I have been married for over ten years. I have a teen-aged step-daughter and two younger daughters, one is six and the other is four years old.
I began this blog because it is something I had long wanted to do. I have always loved writing and composing thoughts on page. I have written all sorts of things: sermon manuscripts, poems, short stories, research papers, among others. I have always considered myself a writer, as well as being an avid reader, but until now have not found the time (or had the discipline perhaps) to put it all together.
I also enjoy gardening, which I have been doing for the past six years. I mainly plant vegetables, along with some fruits. I enjoy reading, research, travel, and a good comfy leather chair. I am an avid Bob Dylan and Bob Seger fan.
Some of my favorite authors include: C.S. Lewis, Francis Shaeffer, Wesley, Calvin, Augustine, Luther, Edwards, Arminius, Chesterton, and Tolkien to name a few. Favorite poets include: Shelley, Poe, Tennyson, Whitman, Shakespeare, Byron, Donne, Pope, Frost, Dickinson, and T.S. Eliot. Musically, I am more inclined to folk music and classical (Tchaikovsky is my favorite, followed by Mozart).
Aside from Hebrew and OT studies, I enjoy historical theology and theology proper; especially Trinitarian theology.
